A 38-year-old Somali man was shot dead in Wells Estate, Port Elizabeth police said on Thursday.
Inspector Dumile Gwavu said Nur Aboli Hussein was shot at the Juluka spaza shop in Juluka Street at around 6pm on Wednesday.
"Hussein was shot once in the chest by an unknown gunman who was accompanied by three other men. The motive of the killing is unknown," said Gwavu.
Hussein died at the scene.
There have been no arrests and police are investigating a case of murder.
