Leader calls on Iranians to go to Somalis’ aid

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on all Iranians to go to Somalis’ aid.

A statement issued by the office of the Supreme Leader on Monday reads the Horn of Africa, especially the famine-stricken Somalia, is going through the most disastrous human crisis.

And millions of Muslim Somalis, in particular women and children, are facing serious threat and that the international institutions have failed to take any notice of this crisis.

Thus, all Iranians are invited to aid Somali people by giving either money or basic commodities.

Iran sent its third cargo of humanitarian aid, weighing 40 tons, to Somalia Sunday night.

In addition, another cargo of humanitarian assistance weighing 100 tons will be shipped to the famine-hit African country soon.
