Sources Say Qaeda Trains Somalis in South Yemen

Well-informed sources have told the Yemen Post that Al-Qaeda is currently training Somali people in Shabwa amid reports terrorists of those who have been fighting the army in Abyan province have infiltrated into the province.

Lately, the UNHCR said that the exodus of African refugees, mostly from Somalia, was increasing, triggering fears Al-Qaeda affiliates in the African horn country could reach Yemen's coasts as refugees.

In recent years, AQAP, which has been described as the most dangerous branch of the global Al-Qaeda network, has conducted many attacks in the south targeting military and security commanders, vehicles and convoys and offices killing and injuring dozens.
