Rochester police said alcohol may have played a role in an overnight crash on south Broadway. The accident happened about 2:15 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Broadway and Highway 14. The driver of a northbound car on Broadway was broadsided by an eastbound driver on Highway 14. Rochester Police Lt. Casey Moilanen said the eastbound driver ran a red light and was arrested. At least one person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Moilanen said the injuries were not considered serious.
