Somali unity talks resume in Turkey | Mareeg Media: Somalia | World news

Talks between Federal government of Somalia and the self-declared state of Somaliland have resumed in Istanbul, Turkey.
The discussion between representative from Mogadishu and Hargeisa is hosted by Turkish government.
The two sides agreed to further their discussion on key critical points during the last meeting in Djibouti last year.
Statement from Somali government has thanked the active role played by Turkish government in bringing the two sides together.
The Northern British colony of Somaliland declared its independence in 1990s following the breakout of the civil war but though not recognized internationally.
However the Somaliland’s separatist administration has put condition on talks with Somalia Federal Government on Sunday, Garowe Online reports. The somaliland Official said he wants members in Somalia government who hail from Somaliland are side-lined
Somaliland is located in northwestern Somalia declared its independence from the rest of the country as de facto sovereign state but it has not been recognized internationally yet.
