KEYDMEDIA - News - Somalia: The newly elected South West State president inaugurated in Baidoa city
The newly elected President of Somalia’s south west administration H.E. Madobe Nunow Mohamed has been inaugurated together with his Vice-president Mohamed Sayd Aden in a well-organized ceremony held today in the state’s capital, Baidoa, Keydmedia Online reports.
The Inauguration which was attended by lawmakers from Somalia Federal parliament, elders, politicians, scholars and members of civil society took place at ADC hall in Baidoa, capital of Bay region, with the full presence of the state’s parliament MPs.
In his inaugural address, President Madobe Nunow widely outlined the main factors that his new Government will work on during his 5-year tenure, mentioning that they will work hard on security , providing social services and transform South West to ‘’Social contract form’’.
Hundreds of people gathered at the ADC hall decorated with Somalia and South West State flags as President Madobe alongside vice president waved to the event participants.
Both the president and his vice president of South West administration were officially sworn-in into the office during the inaugural ceremony.
President Madobe Nunow Mohamed been elected by the south West administration Parliament on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Baidoa and he is set to form soon his cabinet the will lead the state towards a democratic election in 2019.
