    1. It is fantastic news for Mogadishu and for people of Somalia, We Somali’s show gratitude to Turkish Prime Minister for his brave visit to Mogadishu.

I am British Somali architect living in UK, I grow up in Avisione air-force base next to the airport, used to fish at the sea in-front of the Airport.

I wish I could contribute and take part in the construction of this historic Airport project in Mogadishu.

  4. The people of Somalia will forever be thankful to the people of Turkey for their unwavering, unconditional support at a time when the entire world turned a blind eye on them. When the courageous Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Erdogan and his family visited Somalia last year, many Somalis in the diaspora, including myself, were elated beyond belief.

The Somali people are tired of the canny opportunists whose interest is to divide and pity one another. We in the diaspora long for the day when we are able to "come home", at last, with our families.

Please convey our deepest gratitude to the people of Turkey and their government for their support at this critical moment in our history. We shall never forget what Turkey has done for Somalia.

    Thank you,

    Ali Mohamed,
