Somali embassy condemns Kenya’s interception of genuine Somali passports

The Somali embassy in Nairobi alongside with the immigration department of the transitional federal government of Somalia have yesterday condemned the interception of genuine Somali passports in Mombasa by Kenyan authorities where the Somali officials have moved to complain to the Kenyan security agencies.

Somali ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali alias Ali America and Abdulahi Gafow, advisor to the immigration department of the transitional federal government of Somalia have yesterday convened a press conference in Nairobi capital where the diplomat said that the TFG is not aware of the interception of the Somali passports in Mombasa.

Abdulahi Gafow exposed that the passport interception saga was brought in by a man by the name Sanjet who was denied an extension of a contract that he previously had with Somali embassy in processing passports for the embassy.

Moreover, the Somali envoy in Nairobi said that the passports were mainly composed of diplomatic and ordinary ones which were meant for known Somalis.
