Somali community concern at money transfer halt

BBC

The Somali community in Wales is asking for political help to prevent a system to transfer money to families in Africa from being stopped.

Money transfer shops in Wales which allow cash to be sent to Somalia and Somaliland face closure because Barclays bank is shutting its account with them.

It means some people there might have to go without food, education and medical expenses, say concerned relatives.

Nick Pallit reports.
