Somali lawmaker survives assassination attempt - Africa - News - StarAfrica.com
Mohamed Omar Dalha, a Somali Member of Parliament has survived an assassination attempt, after masked gunmen armed with AK 47 rifles attacked him early in this morning while he was in his house in Mogadishu by opening fire on him but he escaped.
Mr. Dalha who talked to a local radio station on Tuesday said that his home was attacked by five unknown armed men, adding that he does not know the reason why anyone would want to kill him, but he accused Al-Shabaab for the attack.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of Somali Immigration and Naturalization Center Mohamed Abdi Addow, known as Dhabarey, has been killed in grenade attack in Mogadishu. The Somali security forces said that they have arrested three young men as being suspects for the killing.
