One government soldier has been killed and two other government soldiers and a civilian woman have been injured in a roadside bomb that targeted them on Makka al-Mukarama road in Mogadishu, witnesses said on Monday.
Residents said the soldiers were inspecting mines on Makka al-Mukarama road that connects K4 area and the presidential palace when the roadside bomb went off.
No group has claimed the reasonability the responsibility for the attack, but Islamist rebels had vowed to keep on fighting against the new government led by president Sharif Sheik Ahmed.
Clan elders and clerics condemned the latest conflicts in Mogadishu and said they would not tolerate any more violence in the capital.
