A Yemeni oil tanker seized by Somali pirates is empty of oil cargo, a government official said on Sunday.
The tanker, named Qana, has a capacity of 3,000 tonnes and was seized off the coast of Yemen earlier on Sunday, the official said.
Several Somali pirates were wounded when Yemeni forces clashed with the hijackers, he added, without giving further details.
