Somalia: Four killed in fighting between Islamists in southern town

At least four people have been killed and nine others have been injured in fighting between two Islamist groups in Bulo Haji town near Kismayu in southern Somalia , witnesses said on Tuesday.

Sources say one of Raskamboni Isamist commanders attacked Bulo Haji which a little known Islamist group Anole, controls. The Raskamboni group sized the town.

Residents say there is also fear in Kismayo that a fighting can erupt at any time. There is dispute between al-Shabab which controls the town and other Islamist groups like Raskamboni.

Twelve people, eight of them combatants, were killed and more than thirty others injured in Beledweyn, in central Somalia on Monday after two Islamist groups fought in the town.

There has been a power struggle between the Islamists in Somalia since the Ethiopian troops left the country in mid January 2009.
