A 55-year-old Sudanese is in critical condition after he was wounded in an argument that took place in Our Lady of Sorrows Street, Hamrun, on Friday evening.
Two men went to the police station to report the incident at 10pm, both were bleeding. The assistance of a medical team was required.
Preliminary investigations resulted in the police establishing that an argument had broken out between the two men at 6.30pm, in which the 55-year-old was stabbed. The other man, 46, also a Sudanese national, suffered slight injuries. A Somali man is being held for questioning.
Magistrate Carol Peralta is conducting an inquiry.
