The Somali Islamic cleric’s association condemned Tuesday the latest conflicts in Mogadishu and described as unfortunate.
Islamist militants attacked AU peace keepers known AMISOM in Mogadishu fir the second day. More that ten people were injured and two people were killed in the latest conflict for the last two days.
The leader of the Somali clerics, Sheik Bashir Ahmed Salad, said he was very sorry about the clashes and called for those who are still continuing the fighting to obey the edicts of the clerics.
“Those who are firing the mortars will be held accountable for any casualties from mortars fired by either the Insurgents or the foreign troops if the insurgents start the attack,” said Sheik Bashir Ahmed Salad.
He warned the consequences of their actions against the Islamist Insurgents. The clerics have been trying to mediate between the government and the Islamist rebels; so far they have succeeded to persuade their ideas to one of the Insurgent groups, Hizbul Islam.
But Hizbul Islam have also disagreed the edicts from the clerics and split into two groups.
