A Somali lawmaker was injured in Mogadishu’s K4 area late on Friday by one of the Somalia government soldiers, officials said on Saturday.
MP Amir Ahmed Shaketi was injured in Mogadishu by unidentified gunmen last month and he was taken to Uganda for treatment.
It is not known why the government soldier wounded Feisal Omar Guled, the Lawmaker who has been injured.
But the deputy speaker of the Somali parliament Osman Elmi Boqore told reporters that the incident would be investigated by the police.
"The Parliamentarian is slightly injured and the bullet hit him on the shoulder. He was taken to hospital for treatment but he has returned to his home now,” said Boqore
The lawmaker was injured after the soldier reportedly opened fire on his car that he was traveling to Sahafi Hotel in Mogadishu.
