Somalia: Three insurgents wounded in Mogadishu

At least three Islamist insurgents have been wounded in Suk Ba’ad market in north Mogadishu, witnesses said on Wednesday.

The three Islamist rebels were injured after other Islamists that support the new government led by president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed attacked them in the area.

Residents expressed concern about the conflicts between the two groups. The government recruited at least 5000 Islamist fighters who are now deployed in the most police stations in the capital.

On the other hand, an influential, Somali poet Abshir Nor Farah better known as Ba’adle has strongly condemned the Islamist rebels and called for the Somali people to defend them.

He accused them of being behind the assassinations of prominent society leaders who were killed recently in Somalia.

Speaking to local FM radio stations in Mogadishu, The poet warned against the Insurgents new fighting between the people and the insurgents.
