THE SOMALI ARMED FORCES: 2012, THE YEAR OF TOTAL LIBERATION OF THE WHOLE COUNTRY

Mogidshu-The Chief of Staff of the Somali Armed forces, General Abdulkarim Yusuf Adan,( Dhagabadan ), in an interview with Somali National News Agency- SONNA- & Radio Mogadishu, said today “2012 will be the year of total Liberation of the whole country from the merciless enemy of our people and country: The Al-shabab terrorists.

The campaign for the Liberation of the country from the Al-shabab terror is gathering speed, as new fronts are opened against the terrorist in many regions” General Dhagabadan added, “Our offensive will be multi-fronted and will be directed at all the enemy occupied parts of the country, north and south of the capital.”

“In the south, new offensives are underway in the following regions: Gedo, Lower Jubba; and soon to be followed by Bay, Bakool, and Middle Jubba regions. North of Mogadishu, Beledweyne has been liberated and the rest of the Hiraan region will follow soon.” The General continued.

The General also said to SONNA & radio Mogadishu, “The Somali Army, has opened a new front in Galguduud. As you all know, this region in central Somalia was partly occupied by the Al-Qaida affiliated terrorists of Al-shabab; and it is the furthest part north of Mogadishu that the terrorist have occupied for a considerable time. We are determined to free it from the clutches of the terrorists, who occupied it for far too long”.
