Drunken brawl leaves man dead in Ajman

Suspect arrested in alleged murder of a compatriot in Ajman.

Dubai: Police have arrested a Somali suspect accused of murdering his compatriot with a broken bottle in a drunken fight.

Brigadier Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri, Director-General of the General Department for Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Dubai Police, said the victim entered the country with a forged passport and identification papers.

Dubai Police received a complaint on September 16 by a witness who saw the victim being dragged to the entrance of a building in the Al Nakheel area of Ajman and pinned down by the elevator.

The victim was pinned to the ground by one suspect, and then stabbed repeatedly by the other suspect.

Dubai and Ajman police collaborated and tracked down one of the suspects.
