Djibouti President Encourages Somali Leaders

The president of Djibouti Republic Ismail Omar Guelleh has encouraged Somalia's leaders to work peace and rebuild their country on Tuesday.

Somali president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed was elected in Djibouti and he named the prime minister in Djibouti. The parliament meets in Djibouti.

"We encourage to you to refrain from disagreements between you (the president and the prime minister) and become a model to the people," said president Guelleh.

"Be patient with the daunting task ahead of you and help the poor. We congratulate to you the new prime minister you chose," he added.

President Sheik Sharif is the third Somali president elected in Djibouti. Ali Mahdi Mohamed and Abdikassim Salad Hassan were elected in Djibouti.

President Isail Omar Guelleh had a meeting with the Somali president, prime minister and the speaker of the parliament.

Prime Minister Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke is expected to form a unity government.
