Shirwa Ahmed ID'd as Oct. suicide bomber
The head of the FBI says a missing Somali man from Minneapolis may be the first U.S. citizen to carry out a terrorist bombing in Somalia.
Bureau Director Robert Mueuller says Shirwa Ahmed carried out the attack last October in northern Somalia.
He was apparently recruited here in Minnesota .
Groups of young local Somali men have disappeared in recent months and some members of the Somali community fear the men are being recruited to become terrorists in their homeland.
Wednesday night, the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center in Minneapolis is holding an open house to increase understanding of the Somali Muslim community.
