Somali militants endorse killing, robbing of government employees

Somalia’s hard-line Alshabaab militants has declared that it is up to standard to shed the blood of those working for the Somali Government and [African Union Mission in Somalia.

Speaking at a mosque in the Somali capital over the weekend, Sheikh Fuad Shongole, one of the top officials of the group made conformed to kill and confiscate the property of those working for both AMISOM and the TFG, adding even their wives are no longer spouses. Shongole said such people should be killed on sight.

He also added that it is also acceptable to shed the blood of those saying that the TFG and AMISOM are in the country with authorization.

He acknowledged that AlShabab will continue fighting the TFG and AMISOM, adding that they [Islamists] will accept to not end the war.

Elsewhere, Alshabaab has launched cracking down one of their close secr group members.

In Lower Shabelle region, southern Somalia, their fighters have arrested more than one hundred people accused of being members of Takfir Islamic sect ( a group known with Alshabaab’s ideology backing).

Reports from the region say the number of those arrested in Al-Shabab operation yesterday is over 150, most of them clerics of Takfir sect.

The arrest comes after the militants raided a residence of Takfir members and then made the arrest.

An eyewitness in Wanla Weyne told Sunatimes that those arrested used to be members of Al-Shabab administration, but he declined to provide more details on genuine reasons behind their arrest.

A day before, Al-Shabab carried a similar operation, in which they arrested people in Marka, the provincial capital of Lower Shabeelle Region who were accused of being members of the Takfir sect.

Somalia has been without government since 1991 after dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was ousted from power by armed warlords who turned the horn of Africa nation into decades of endless war.
