The spokesman of the Islamic Courts Union Sheik Abdirahim Isse Adow called the Somali lawmakers on Sunday to defend them selves from what he called their enemies in the country.
The spokesman said there people who call the parliamentarians apostates in the capital Mogadishu and urged them to defend them selves.
He said that there are individuals who will not satisfy even if the parliament endorsed the implementation of the Islamic Sharia in the country. He also called for them to ask the government to keep the security of the lawmakers.
One of the Somali lawmakers and top, Islamist military commander were killed in Mogadishu on Wednesday and Friday.
The spokesman accused al-Shabab of being behind the killing of the deceased lawmaker and the Islamist military commander.
