Kidnapped MSF workers could be freed Sunday

Somalia gunmen could free a Belgian doctor and Danish nurse on Sunday, a local elder negotiating for their release told Reuters.

The two work with Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) and were seized on April 19 after carrying out a nutrition study in south-central Somalia's Bakol region.

"All we are waiting for is the handover and hoping that it will happen today," said Xasan Moalim, one of the elders in the mediation said adding that his fellow elders did not accept kidnapping acts within its region.
