Somalia: explosion injures three people in Mogadishu

At least three people have been injured in a blast that targeted Hodan district commissioner, Abdi Mohamed Dhabaney who escaped unhurt of the explosion attack on Maka al-Mukarama road in Mogadishu, officials said on Thursday

The deputy commander of the Somali police forces Gen. Hussein Yusuf Dhumal said that three civilians were slightly injured in the explosion.

He added that the district commissioner escaped unhurt. No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

Blasts often occur on Maka al-Mukarama road which is a key road that connects the airport and the presidential palace in Mogadishu.
